Bear Lake

cute pic from our last family party with Brian's side... Logan, Michael, and Jackson playing dress up!
Our yearly family trip to Bear Lake was last week. Mimi of course, decked the kids out with all sorts of doo-dads for the car, starting with a new hat for each of them, a clipboard with a coloring book, and a box filled with crayons, toys, and treats! That Mimi, she is something else!

We arrived at Bear Lake late in the afternoon on Monday so we headed down to the lake just to let the kids see it and play in the sand for a little bit.
We were surprised to find out that the lake had changed from last year. First off, the beach was way smaller in width - barely anything was left. And the water was immediately deep, whereas last year, it was shallow for at least a mile. So that was disappointing because the kids couldn't play in the water like they did last year. But of course, they didn't mind. They had a GREAT time anyway!

I love this pic of Kait!
We borrowed out neighbors tent trailer which was so cool! Beats a tent any day! I brought those glow sticks for the kids to play with.
Brian took 8 million pics like this but here is the coolest one!
Tuesday, we headed down to the beach. It was about 79 degrees and windy so it was quite chilly, I thought. I went back to our trailer and changed into shorts and a sweatshirt instead of my swimsuit. The kids didn't mind though! This was Brian's job - to pack sand in the buckets over and over and over.
So the kids could create this!
The tent trailer was awesome but it was seriously FREEZING at night. So this is Carli all bundled up ready to go night night!
Wednesday morning, we packed up and headed home. I had to catch a flight in the afternoon for Idaho for my Scentsy directors training.

Were you on the South side? We noticed there was hardly any beach there this year. We camped on the West side and the beach was way shorter, but the water was still shallow relatively far out. It was freezing cold for us at night too, we had the heater on a few times. It was still fun. I love Bear Lake.

Looks like fun! We had a tent-trailer growing up, except it was bright gold and orange, like an old church building interior! I love the beach pics!

Mickey just sent your parents the movie, RV, with Robin Williams. Have you seen it?

Anyway, looks like it was a great trip, even if the beach area was not what you were expecting.

Look forward to a trip to Yosemite next summer with you guys!!
