Logan's big day... not his birthday!

Logan has a big day coming up. His birthday already passed, so it's not that! As a lot of you know, Logan has had a rough 3 years of his life, with throwing up without much of an explanation, lots and lots of dr's and specialists visits, etc... Nobody could ever agree upon what was wrong with him. We know he has a peanut allergy but that didn't really seem to explain the fact that he would throw up in the night, rollover, and fall right back asleep. (he just did it again last night), and yet, he's not sick. He coughs a lot while he's eating, etc... Well, he had his 3 yr wellness visit with his awesome pediatrician, Dr Witt, today and we finally think we've figured it out! He has HUGE tonsils. So, Dr Witt sent us to a dr that was the ENT dr at Primary childrens for several years (he now has his own private practice) and suprisingly, they got us in right away (with 2 hours of calling) and he said that on a scale of 1-4, Logan's tonsils are a 4! And he agrees that this just might be the answer we've been looking for. So on Feb. 5th, Logan gets his tonsils out. I hope it's an easy recovery. The dr said that for some kids it's a really easy recovery, for some, it's a difficult one. Things with Logan have never been that easy, so I'm thinking it will be more difficult, but I hope not, for his sake!

We hope the procedure and recovery will run smoothly for Logan and that it will be the answers to your prayers and most of all his too! ( I can see him saying, Please Lord, don't let me throw up anymore, icky)

jen! i found your blog from your link in your email! cool! jones had his tonsils out too. he also had a lot of spit up issues that were never really resolved with usual relux meds. anyway, jones' recovery was pretty easy. jones was actually ready to eat more sooner than they said, but i was scared that the 'real' food would rip off the scabs. so he ate LOTS of ice cream, juice, jello, etc for over a week. but he bounced back pretty fast. email me if you have more questions.
love the blog!!

Here's hoping this is the answer you're looking for. Poor Logan! What a rough 3 yrs he's had. Fingers crossed for all of you!!!

Hopefully this fixes it! It's always so frustrating playing the "guessing game".

If this works, I will look forward to our future meals throw-up free!! (that just sounded totally mean, but I think you get my humor)
