Kait's 5th birthday!

Kait turned 5 on Sunday! She was so happy, she came running into my room and said, "Am I 5 today?"  She has been counting down her birthday since January and she has to go through everyone else's birthdays until it gets to hers.  She came home from church and told me that she told all of her friends that they could bring her presents on Monday.  Doh!  Anyway, she was very happy all day.  We let her open 1 present before church, then gave her the rest of her presents from us after church.  That evening, Mimi and Grandpa and Uncle  Jeff came over as well as her best friend Madeline and her family.  

Barbie from Aunt Tammi.  She also got a cute pink dog and 2 super cute outfits from Aunt Tammi! THANK YOU!

 Mimi and Grandpa gave her lots of things to keep her busy during the days as well as an adorable outfit.  She has already done a few of the activities but I am saving some for when school starts.  THANK YOU!!!

 Madeline gave her a best friends necklace.  Each half turns into a heart but when seperated they each have their own half of the heart.  Adorable!

 Brian and I decided to make her an ice cream pie for her birthday.  My mom used to make these all the time in CA but I haven't had one in ages.  It's a graham cracker crust, a full thing of ice cream, and a tub of cool whip.  It was SO good!

 Carli and her Uncle Jeff.  She spent a lot of time hanging out with him so I thought I would snap a few pictures.  It's funny because the kids can't figure out how Jeff fits into our family.  A couple of weeks ago, we picked up Uncle Jeff and went to Mimi's.  When we got there, Logan said, "Why is Jeff here?  Does he know Mimi and Grandpa?"  And the other day, Kaitlin told Mimi that her brother was coming with us.  HA!  We always laugh because they are so baffled by the relationship! 

 When I was pregnant with Kaitlin, my dr told me that the first day she would induce me is July 24th.  Brian was against the idea since in Utah, it's a holiday called Pioneer Day.  A neighbor is also born on the 24th and she said it's the best day to be born because as a child, you think the parade and the fireworks are all for you!  So far, she has been right.  Kaitlin thinks everything is for her.  So here we all are waiting for Brian's fireworks show!

 Logan has never been a big fan of the fireworks.  He tries to get as far away as possible from them!
