super fun vaca!

We headed to warm weather St George, the first weekend in April.  Loved the 88 degrees we felt while there!  We drove down Friday and met up with best friend Erin and her kids.  Went swimming at their pool, then got dressed and went to a really fun place for kids! My parents also headed to St George in their trailer and met us there.

We have 8 kids between us!  Holy moley!
On Saturday, Erin's hubby, her sister and husband also drove to St George, so Brian and I took the kids to Vegas for the day.  We walked the strip for several hours.  One of our first stops was the M&M factory.  We let each kid grab a bag and fill it up.  They plunked their 3 bags down on the counter, Carli got a fan with m&m's in it, Brian bought 2 packs of cards, all to the tune of SEVENTY DOLLARS!   Ok then!  But it was fun and we were happy to do it because the kids thought it was a blast!

Kaitlin of course, had to stand beneath the pink and purple m&m's! ;)

The m&m factory had a free 3-D movie so we of course, had to get pictures of everyone in their 3-D glasses!

After a while, we decided to go get a buffet lunch.  We scouted it out on the internet first and found out that MGM had the BEST buffet lunch for families and not too expensive either.  So when we went up to pay, the 2 little girls were free, Jackson and Logan were discounted, and Brian and I paid full price.  So why was the bill $140????  OH, because it's Saturday, the rates are through the roof, OF COURSE!  And unfortunately, the food wasn't any better than any other buffet place.  Oh well, again, this was for the kids and it was fun!

On our way into the MGM, we saw the lions being fed.  They were coming right up to the window where we were standing.  I think the trainers were luring them on purpose so the kids could be extra close to them.  Everytime they would come near by, Carli would laugh HYSTERICALLY which of course, everyone around us thought was hillarious!

(those lion's eyes look like laser beams!)

$20 worth of M&M's that would have cost $3 at the store, ha!

We went into the butterfly conservatory - that painting is actually made out of flowers.
waiting for The water fountains at the Bellagio
After Vegas, we met my parents for Sunday breakfast at a killer breakfast spot in St George.  Then we headed home to snow!
